Complaints about payday lenders have more than tripled over the last year according to the latest Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) annual report.
Between April 2016 and the end of March 2017 the Ombudsman received 10,529 complaints relating to the payday lenders that charge high interest rates for short term loans. The FOS upheld 59% of these complaints in favour of the borrower.
